About the role:
We are looking for a Diagnostics Analyst to join the team! This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive digital data reporting, supporting software update deployments, managing field issues related to electronic faults and vehicle statistics, and facilitating software update rollouts across all sold vehicles. Key responsibilities include analysing and reporting on vehicle fault statuses and software issues, ensuring seamless integration with overseas regions and development teams, planning and implementing software fixes and updates, collecting remote vehicle data, resolving software issues, and developing off-board OEM tools. By collaborating with multiple internal and external teams, the successful candidate will significantly enhance diagnostic tools, prevent customer dissatisfaction, reduce warranty costs, and uphold the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation in vehicle performance and customer service.
This role is responsible for delivering all necessary digital data reporting needs, supporting the deployment of software updates, managing ongoing issues in the field related to electronic faults and vehicle statistics, and aiding in the development of software update roll-out activities across all sold vehicles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recorded Vehicle Fault Status and Software Issues: Determine fault conditions and required service actions for issues identified in the field.
- Planning and Implementation of Software Fixes and Updates: Strategize and execute the deployment of software updates and fixes.
- Vehicle Remote Data Collection and Issue Resolution: Collect remote data from vehicles and resolve software-related issues.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collate and report information on identified issues and predict potential problems to prevent customer dissatisfaction and reduce warranty costs. Coordinate the collection and management of data to address customer issues effectively.
- Accurate Data Preparation: Prepare precise data to facilitate the deployment of interim and permanent field containment measures and contribute to the software development process for resolving known issues.
- Off-Board OEM Tool Creation and Management: Develop and manage off-board OEM tools, including testing features.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with multiple internal and external teams to develop world-class diagnostic tools. Ensure successful collaboration with responsible teams across different regions.
- Toolset Development: Develop a world-class off-board diagnostic toolset within a team environment.
Skills, knowledge and experience:
Essential
- Experience of diagnostics such as CAN, ISO 14229 UDS protocol. Familiarity with complex automotive digital networks, CAN/FlexRay/LIN/Ethernet. Ideally software programming experience in either C++, HTML, JavaScript, Python or .Net scripting.
- Good knowledge for system debugging. Ideally from an established automotive OEM or tier 1 supplier experienced in the development of embedded software and vehicle systems. Must have knowledge of automotive repair procedures and development processes.
- Degree in Automotive Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably qualified to Master’s degree level.
- Must have experience in the development of automotive software and knowledge of macro update methodologies.

Desirable
- Additional International language skills, fluent in at least two European languages.

Additional Information:
