We are seeking an experienced Technical Software Developer with extensive experience in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, resourceful, and self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills. You should be ready to tackle a diverse range of tasks.
The perfect fit for our team will be highly driven and efficient with their time management. You must be comfortable collaborating closely with Creative, Design, and Senior Management teams to deliver projects within tight deadlines.
What you'll do:
- Develop, design and code software systems for programs such as, Unreal Engine, VRED, Maya.
- Create standalone apps & tools for Windows.
- Work with suppliers to introduce and develop new software to the company. (Shot grid, perforce for example)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define specifications, and implement software solutions.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software applications, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement feedback from users and managers alike.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and make recommendations for software enhancements.
- Document software designs, development processes, and project progress. This includes feasibility studies before kicking of major development.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of software development processes and methodologies.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in with software coding and development (Python is essential, C++ is desirable)
- Knowledge of VRED and Maya is essential, and some knowledge of Unreal is desirable.
- A strong communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Demonstrate a strong drive, independence and confidence as well as operating as part of a team.
- Structured, methodical and analytical with good planning skills.
- Flexible and able to work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances.

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our Coventry office. This role will be Hybrid working, however there will be an expectancy to work onsite 2 - 4 days a week.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in London without VISA sponsorship.
