Summary:
The Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing daily tax compliance and providing expert tax advice. You will be responsible for tax filings and assessing tax risks and related-party transactions related to the UK. You will also provide professional tax advice or recommendations from a tax perspective to cross-functional teams.
Other responsibilities include:
- Responsible for daily tax compliance filings and tax matters management, including but not limited to VAT filings, annual corporate income tax filings, etc.
- Responsible for tax filings and tax management related to R&D activities (RDEC).
- Responsible for tax filings and tax management related to interest (CIR).
- Responsible for preparing transfer pricing compliance reports.
- Responsible for responding to various tax inquiries raised by HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs).
What you'll bring:
Essential:
- Strong technical expertise in VAT, corporate tax, and stamp duty land tax filings and management in the UK.
- Ability to work closely and efficiently with the Tax Director and the international tax teams.
- Able to communicate proactively with HMRC (His Majesty's Revenue and Customs) and respond to HMRC inquiries.
- Possess relevant accounting knowledge, including FRS 102 and IFRS tax accounting standards; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
- Capable of supporting the international tax teams in transfer pricing planning projects and preparing transfer pricing documentations.
- Able to identify tax risks in daily operations and maintain a tax risk register.
- Holds an ACA, CTA, or equivalent professional tax and accounting qualification.
- Strong communication skills with international colleagues whose first language is not English.
Desirable:
- Experience with China-based or China-led companies.
- Experience with navigating significant organizational changes and business shifts is a plus.

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our London Global Commercial HQ. This role will be Hybrid working, however there will be an expectancy to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the London office - EC1V
- Travel might be required to visit different entities. Applicants must therefore possess the ability to travel freely without restrictions.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in London without VISA sponsorship.
