New Business Development Manager
Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world.
We are looking for a New Business Development Manager in the Group Sales Department to join us in our Global Commercial site based in Coventry.
Summary:
Responsible for growing Lotus fleet market share in the UK to in the corporate sales channels – predominately through selling battery electric vehicles (BEV) products through Corporate Sales & Leasing channels.
What you'll do:
Fleet sales strategy development, oversight and achievement of Lotus fleet market share goals.
• Create, align and implement a UK fleet sales strategy within the Corporate Sales channels in alignment with the management team and UK objectives.
• Raise awareness of the Lotus brand by collaborating with Marketing Teams to organise, attend and participate in critical events to ensure sufficient Lotus brand and product awareness amongst Corporate Customers.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new business
• Collaborate with Marketing Team to organise, attend and participate in critical events to ensure sufficient Lotus brand and product awareness amongst B2B opportunities.
• Identify quality new business opportunities to promote Lotus product, generating and qualifying leads, initiating conversations leading to face to face meetings to discuss opportunities with SMEs and Corporates and Salary Sacrifice providers, converting them into customers.
• Conduct effective first meetings, present products appropriately and align with customer needs to maximise opportunities.
• Negotiate commercial terms, volume agreements and service level agreements with the core fleet channels, (leasing, corporate, broker, public sector, local authorities, salsac providers and fleet management companies)
• Plan to achieve fleet sales targets in accordance with the company business model and targeted sales channel mix.
Relationship management:
• Cultivate, develop and maintain long term relationships with Corporates and Key Accounts and strategic public sector clients to facilitate the achievement of desired fleet market share goals.
• Talent for cultivating long lasting relationships with customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maximise opportunities in Corporate Market
• Ability to convince internal/external stakeholders that have a desire to reach agreement to accept new concepts, practices and approaches.
Sales performance oversight and follow-up:
• Track and report on channel performance including vehicle volumes, margins, customer acquisition and partner satisfaction, providing regular insights to management team.
• Track performance v budget and recommend adjustments to ensure all opportunities are maximised whilst in alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct competitor analysis and prepare reports on leasing performance, risk exposure, and growth opportunities to ensure market competitiveness.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience managing external partnerships and internal relationships.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-financial stakeholders as required.

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our Coventry office. This role will be working on-site, full time.
- Frequent travel might be required to visit different entities. Applicants must therefore possess the ability to travel freely without restrictions.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without VISA sponsorship.
