Vehicle Logistics Supervisor

To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Vehicle Logistics Supervisor to join us in our Global Commercial site based in Coventry.
Summary:
The Vehicle Logistics Supervisor is a key operational role responsible for the day-to-day execution and monitoring of the Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL) activities. Acting as the first point of escalation for operational issues, this role ensures that the daily flow of vehicles is efficient, compliant, and meets all key performance targets. This role supports the Vehicle Logistics Manager in implementing strategies and directly supervises the coordination of carriers and internal processes to deliver vehicles on time and in perfect condition.
What you'll do:
• Execute the daily planning and scheduling of vehicle shipments via road, rail, and sea, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Monitor the real-time movement of vehicle shipments, proactively identifying and resolving delays or issues at ports, compounds, or in transit.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers and 3PLs for daily operational matters.
• Track and report on carrier performance against daily and weekly KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as on-time pickup, on-time delivery, and damage rates.
• Conduct initial investigations into service failures, damages, or discrepancies and report findings to the Manager.
• Manage the first-level process for vehicle damage claims, ensuring proper documentation and communication with carriers and quality departments.
• Ensure all shipping and customs documentation is accurate and complete for cross-border movements.
• Maintain accurate data within the Transport Management System (TMS) and other logistics platforms.
• Support the Vehicle Logistics Manager in implementing new processes, systems, and continuous improvement projects.

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our Coventry office. This role will be working on-site, full time.
- Frequent travel might be required to visit different entities. Applicants must therefore possess the ability to travel freely without restrictions.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without VISA sponsorship.
