Warranty Manager

To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Warranty Manager in the Group Sales Department to join us in our Global Commercial site based in Coventry.
Summary:
The Warranty Manager is accountable for the implementation, governance, and continuous enhancement of Lotus regional warranty policies and procedures. Through effective leadership of warranty administration and audit functions, the role ensures that all warranty claims submitted by European Dealers are assessed consistently, accurately, and in strict alignment with established policy.
The position plays a critical role in protecting the company from unjustified warranty exposure while safeguarding dealer confidence and customer satisfaction consistent with a luxury brand proposition. In addition, the Warranty Manager holds responsibility for regional warranty financial performance across Sports Car and Lifestyle BEV product lines and supports Regional Distributors with the development and enforcement of robust, compliant warranty standards.
This role is central to maintaining the financial integrity, operational discipline, and quality feedback loop of Lotus Aftersales across global markets .
What you'll do:
Warranty Operations and Administration
Implement and govern regional warranty policies and procedures across European markets through the leadership of warranty administration and audit teams.
Oversee end‑to‑end warranty claim administration, ensuring fair, consistent, and policy‑compliant assessment for all European Dealers.
Monitor and control regional warranty budgets for both Sports Car and Lifestyle BEV portfolios, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and effective cost containment.
Provide strategic leadership in the execution and ongoing management of customer warranty programmes.
Analysis, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
Track, analyse, and report key warranty KPIs, recall activity, and service campaign completion rates on a monthly basis.
Lead in‑depth warranty and quality data analysis to identify trends in product defects, cost drivers, and regional or model‑level performance.
Produce concise, decision‑ready reports for senior leadership, enabling proactive management of risk, cost, and product quality.
Establish, standardise, and continuously improve warranty and customer care systems and processes to support scalability and operational excellence.
Quality, Containment, and Corrective Action Management
Work closely with LCL (Sportscars) and WLCS (Lifestyle) Technical Support teams to define containment strategies and ensure timely corrective actions by responsible departments or Regional Distributors.
Oversee the management and logistics of removed warranty parts for engineering analysis, including effective RTV (Return to Vendor) coordination.
Lead cross‑functional communication of field quality insights and warranty trends to enable early detection and resolution of recurring issues.
Campaigns, Recalls, and Legal Compliance
Direct Aftersales product service campaigns and vehicle recalls, ensuring timely dealer and Regional Distributor notification and performance tracking.
Ensure all warranty, campaign, and recall activities comply with local and international regulatory requirements, in collaboration with Legal and Type Approval functions.
Support the resolution of complex or sensitive customer warranty cases (including goodwill, buy‑back, or escalated complaints), providing senior‑level consultation as required.
Leadership and People Development
Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing regional warranty team, fostering accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
Monitor individual and team performance, addressing capability gaps and maintaining a strong culture of well‑being and compliance.
Own the global warranty audit function, ensuring effective programme execution and consistent policy adherence across the dealer network.

Additional Information:
This role will be working from our Coventry office. This role will be working on-site, full time.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without VISA sponsorship.
